Experiential Learning Partners are critical to graduation outcomes and social mobility goals. Internships, practica and shadowing highly correlate with graduation rates and students' belief in the relevance of learning.
Our experiential learning relationships are flexible to fit partner goals for community engagement, DEI, essential work and workforce pipelines. Our learning partners engage in short-term and longer term experiences including:
- SCALE: Our Sophomore Class Atlanta Leadership Experience (SCALE), an immersive, 3-day program for undergraduate sophomores. Small teams of students engage with 25+ organizations around Atlanta learning about leadership, culture and organizational priorities.
- Internships: Students across all majors complete internships and rate their experiences as highly valuable to their professional success after graduation. Partners support student success with career education and equity initiatives like our clothing closet and signature funding programs.
- Graduate Practica or Clinical Rotation: Partners host graduate students in academically-required Clinical Mental Health Counseling practica. We are also working with partners to build greater access to providers by supporting our Physician Assistant clinical rotations.
